Reading CC time-trial, 14th June, Aldermaston H25/1, result

A heavy rain shower in Reading at 18.30 left semi-flooded roads in its wake but further west, the 16 riders who showed up for the club '25' at Aldermaston found a decent evening with very light wind and damp roads but no rain.

Reading CC 10-mile TT championship, H10/1 Aldermaston Tuesday 7/6/16

Greg Woodford shaded Hadyn Rhys James by 5 seconds to become Reading CC 10-mile champion. For the first time in some years we also have a ladies champion in Natalie Bravo. Congratulations to them both. There was a good turnout on what was an excellent evening for racing with the threatened severe weather not reaching Aldermaston.

Thanks go to: Brian Perry and Rob Thomson, signage; Paddy Ashcroft start timekeeping, Natalie's b/f pushing off, Colin Bates finish TK and results.

Nettlebed HCC259 TT Tuesday 10 May 2016

A mild evening after a wet day drew 13 starters to the Nettlebed 18.23 mile course that features the climb of Pishill. Brian Perry was the kind person who made it all possible by holding the watch. This evening we got wet indeed, annoyingly the rain only started after we all did so we were all committed. Dan Bigham showed up, some kid on a road bike as far as I was concerned and despite his evident confidence I didn’t fancy his chances of defeating Ken Buckley’s 42:40. Which only shows how little I know for Dan has destroyed the course record with a 41 dead.

Fifield H10/10 time-trial 26 April 16

Fourteen riders signed on despite it being an arctic evening after a day of snow flurries. Martin Cairns confirmed recent form in a fairly tight result with times generally slowed by the north wind. Nice to see the ladies and gents of Tri2O in the field, and we also saw the return of Greg W albeit with a shaky launch. Huge thanks to Matt Hayden and Pete Warren for assisting.
