Clubrun Reports - July 27

There were three different rides on offer this morning, and it sounds like everyone had a great morning.

Brian Perry writes:

To celebrate the a flat stage of 'Le Tour' and 'La Course', a flattish ride to Waterperry via Benson and Stanton St John. We set off with 9 riders. The brisk/fast group overtook us on the road to Crays Pond and 2 riders were swept up. Another 2 were impressed and went off up the road to join them. Down to 5, but shortly rejoined by 2 of the escapees.
Average speed out, over 18mph, towed ably by Kevin with assistance from everyone else!

Torture 40 - 6th April 2014

So if you didn't get accepted for the Tour of Flanders, try RCC's own version, but with badly surfaced Chiltern lanes replacing the cobblestones. Event start is at 10am from the Hambleden car park at Mill End.

Greg Woodford is co-ordinating, and participants will be expected to record their own times if interested. Obviously, this is not a race. The route details can be seen on this Strava link.

Most of these climbs are STEEP, so it's a good idea bring low gears unless you are Fabian Cancellara.
