Andrew and Luca report there excursion to Italy. This is Luca's 15th ride in this event!

Aldermaston H10/1 TT Tuesday 24 May 2016

After a brief intermission, we're back!

It was a sunny evening but a chilly NE breeze made the return leg hard work in places. Dan Raptor Bigham's ride stands apart but there were many good rides through the field. Nice to see former member and now elite road-racer Joe Harris turning out for a swift ride on his road bike.

Chiltern 100 Gran and Medio, Mash Up, and Little Lumpy sportives

Several sportives took place on he weekend of 15th May 2016.

Here are the reports from our riders at these events:

Chiltern 100 sportives

Paul Gray rode the Gran Fondo
“On Sunday I did the Chiltern Hundred Sportive, having done this a few times now I know what to expect with it’s challenging route of going up or down nearly all the peaks of the Chilterns, which strangely seems to suit me well.

Hampshire Hilly Hundred 8th May 2016

Year on year this event has consistently attracted riders from the club

Hampshire Hilly 100
Ranjit Bahra reports:

Nettlebed HCC259 TT Tuesday 10 May 2016

A mild evening after a wet day drew 13 starters to the Nettlebed 18.23 mile course that features the climb of Pishill. Brian Perry was the kind person who made it all possible by holding the watch. This evening we got wet indeed, annoyingly the rain only started after we all did so we were all committed. Dan Bigham showed up, some kid on a road bike as far as I was concerned and despite his evident confidence I didn’t fancy his chances of defeating Ken Buckley’s 42:40. Which only shows how little I know for Dan has destroyed the course record with a 41 dead.
