Welcome !
Reading CC has been promoting cycling in Berkshire since 1974. With over 200 members, the club is dedicated to giving cyclists the opportunity to race, ride and enjoy life on two wheels. We have something on offer for all sporting riders, with a series of evening time trials throughout the racing season, several social rides every week along with road racing, sportives, audax and cyclo-cross. We welcome new members to participate in all these activities. Please browse the site to learn more about us, and don't hesitate to contact a member of the committee for further information. It was another busy weekend for Reading CC riders.

Torture 45 and 30 - Results 2009

Fabulous spring weather for the event this year, unlike last year which set off into cold and sleet. The full (and complicated!) results are attached. The summary is that:

  • The fastest riders were Rory West, Steve Bale, Gavin Spiers, Trevor Bradbury and Joe Harris (143.28 minutes)
  • The "most powerful" rider was Mike Fenwick (1.57 minutes/kilogram)
  • The "least age affected" rider was Dennis Boltwood (2.591 minutes/year)

So congratulations to all of you who got round the course.

Alternately sunny and stormy but always cold and windy the weather made
life difficult for cycling at the weekend.
