Welcome !
Reading CC has been promoting cycling in Berkshire since 1974. With over 200 members, the club is dedicated to giving cyclists the opportunity to race, ride and enjoy life on two wheels. We have something on offer for all sporting riders, with a series of evening time trials throughout the racing season, several social rides every week along with road racing, sportives, audax and cyclo-cross. We welcome new members to participate in all these activities. Please browse the site to learn more about us, and don't hesitate to contact a member of the committee for further information. HCC234 Waltham St Lawrence 10-mile TT 18/4/17 - result

A sunny but chilly evening brought out 11 riders. The NE breeze was unhelpful but Hadyn was still able to record a rarely-seen 22 on this circuit course. A few of us got slightly held up by traffic caught behind leisure riders but that's just the nature of this course.

Waltham St Lawrence 10 mile TT, Tuesday 4/4/17

The evening may have been cool, dull and a little breezy for the first event of the season but 16 riders turned out to race the WSL circuit on Tuesday 4th April.

Sportive Report Feb/March 2017

Saturday 11th March the Ups and Downs was out of Cranleigh
Paul East reports “80 miles with two long climbs near the end. Lovely day and in short sleeves for most of this one. Finished in 4hrs 24 21 for gold standard. Not sure of official placing (as it's not a race!) :-) but 17th on Strava.”

Recorded as 95th/496. Paul and myself looked at the fast Epic riders' times and tried to locate them on Strava - some hadn't ridden the course, so I believe Paul deserves a much higher position.Brian

ANTHONY MAYNARD RELIABILITY TRIAL 2017 - REPORT

the first batch of the Fast Group depart

A cool but dry morning with a significant south westerly, which hardly mattered to the 59 riders who gathered at Thames Valley Park. There’s always quite a buzz after sign-on the ‘speed’ groups assemble before moving over to the starting lane. This year some flapjacks and coffee supplied too, thanks to Doug Aspinall and Luca Romita.

2017 RCC Anthony Maynard Reliability Trial - Sunday February 26th

The last Sunday in February 26th, is the 2017 annual Anthony Maynard Spring Reliability Trial. It’s the usual President route, but a modified longer route to accommodate a detour avoiding the Goring 10km Run.

The aim is to complete your chosen trail in the target time. Please note this event is not a race, you should ride with normal consideration for your fellow riders and other road users. It's also wise to come equipped to repair your own mechanical problems, as it's less likely that others will wait for you, when compared with a normal club run! All the fun of a sportive for a fraction of the outlay - we’d just like £2 to support our charities and you will also get a free coffee at the finish.

Departures are from the roundabout in Thames Valley Park, sign on from 08:30, first group away at 09:00.
