Reading Cycling Club are once again promoting a Sportive ride through the beautiful Berkshire Downs on July 18th 2010. There are two events: One of 110km and 1350 metres of ascent, and the other of 195km and 2450 metres of ascent. Click on the link above to enter the event for 2010 ! Online Entries will close on July 11th, so please enter well in advance if you want a guaranteed place in the event.

The 2009 event was very successful, with close to five hundred entrants, and excellent feedback from the participants about how much they enjoyed both the course and the high level of organisation around the event. We hope you will all join us again in 2010 ! The HQ will again be at Theale Green school, where we have negotiated additional onsite car parking space and also the use of a larger hall for 2010.

The Sportive is being promoted in the memory of Anthony Maynard, who was killed, while cycling, in a road traffic accident near Henley on Thames in July 2008. It is a not-for-profit venture, with proceeds going to relevant charities.
